Correct name?[edit]

"Bandy Federation of England" was just changed by User:Old PN Editor Lyn to "England Bandy Federation" in the lead of this article. This is not supported by the source given (which was not changed), but I know the Federation of International Bandy is not always so quick in updating its homepage. Is there any source showing that the federation has changed its name? Bandy Hoppsan (talk) 12:06, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The new committee for the Governing Body of Bandy convened in December 2016 with Officers; Chair, Robert Johnson, Treasurer, Dorothy Johnson, General Secretary, Cathy Gibb-de Swarte and President Lyn Gibb-de Swarte, to take the sport forward proactively in 2017, decided to vary the name of the organisation to the England Bandy Federation and applied for its recognition by the Federation of International Bandy January 2017. There is a Facebook page set up with much information. The EBF is supporting the building of the Littleport Ice Stadium with a full size Bandy pitch inside the 400 metre oval ice speed skating track. The EBF will also be initiating rink bandy in England. The new EBF logo and badge is now designed. I am Lyn Gibb-de Swarte. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Old PN Editor Lyn (talkcontribs) 16:12, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the information. This sound credible, but Wikipedia still needs outside sources. Could you provide a link to information about this, a press release or something? Even better would be if a third-party source had written about it, like a newspaper or so. Also, please do not erase information about what was before. Historical information about the federation is still interesting to read. Please write something at Talk:Bandy too. Bandy Hoppsan (talk) 22:58, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Great Britain[edit]

I just noticed, that the England Bandy Federation page at Facebook has changed names to https://www.facebook.com/greatbritainbandyfederation/ and claims that the federation now has the intent to represent all of the United Kingdom. The homepage http://www.englandbandyfederation.co.uk/home-page of the federation is however unchanged and says nothing about this. So what is the fact?
