The course examines how the current generation of young adults experiences the globalized landscape in an age of radical connectivity, bringing together students from Connecticut College, the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Collegium Civitas in Warsaw to discuss shared readings via teleconference throughout the semester. Topics to be discussed include generational differences and conflict; comparative education systems and student life; normative family structures and marriage patterns; youth movements and political activism; marginalized youth; and employment opportunities for young adults.
