Time and location discussion[edit]
My partner is taking an examination in Long Beach on October 1 and 2. Saturday is usually a good day for people for meetups, but if more people want to do Friday evening, that's a possibility too. I'm keeping an open mind. The San Francisco meetup on Saturday will be in a park in San Francisco, although restaurants, bars and office spaces have made excellent meetup venues as well. Location possibilities[edit]

- Long Beach isn't at all necessary, I can travel a bit--to Westwood or the San Fernando Valley, for instance, especially if people are more concentrated on the north side of L.A. Bastique ☎ call me! 23:41, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Within Long Beach[edit]
- Aquarium of the Pacific (entrance fee)
- Long Beach Museum of Art (entrance fee)
- Recreation Park
- A beach, such as Belmont Shore, or Marine Park (Mother's Beach), weather permitting
- Belmont Pier
Near Long Beach[edit]
- Angel's Gate Park, San Pedro, home of the Korean Bell of Friendship, which you may remember from the film The Usual Suspects
- Other beaches, such as in Huntington Beach, or Newport Beach
- Ken Malloy Regional Park, Harbor City/Wilmington, former location of Reggie the alligator
Downtown LA/Hollywood[edit]
- Philippe's: originator of the French Dip sandwich. It has a room upstairs and is close to the Red Line metro.
San Fernando Valley[edit]
