A belated welcome![edit]

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Wilsnipeforfood. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! NQ (talk) 22:08, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the kind and helpful welcome! There's definitely a lot of special formatting and such to get a hang of. Editing a page to reply to your comment is still very mind-bending for me (coming from someone so used to forums / sites like reddit hehe). I think that this is a fulfilling side hobby - catching little errors here and there when I'm on one of my random wiki adventures at night before bed. Hell I feel good even just fixing two little source links on a Whitney Houston page...a singer I've never listened to and I can't even remember how I ended up on the page (although it was somehow via a reddit post related to Mike Tyson...I remember that much, go figure ;-) I will definitely do a bit more reading up with what you linked to me.

I'll keep you in mind in case I ever have any inquiries I'm not able to find answers to on my own. Thanks again. Hearing about horror stories of people dealing with so much drama and strife making simple edits sometimes turned me off from ever really contributing for fear of being ignored/ harassed for not doing things 'just right' - so hearing from someone with your type of attitude is more reassuring - and gives me some faith in the community that really does provide an invaluable resource. I look forward to contributing my little bit - however small it is. All the best!

And now I know about the 4 tildes thing!

Hey there! I have replaced the citations with the ones you provided at Whitney Houston. As for your concern regarding the tone of the sentence and the context-since I'm not totally familiar with the subject, I am going to hold off on that. Feel free to make changes when you become auto confirmed or you can discuss it further on the talk page. Your edit request was properly formatted and kudos on reading up on wikipedia policies. Just remember - When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Whitney Houston please be sure to sign your posts at the end of the comment.
