Gonzo[edit]

"That's not true." In point of fact, the second season of the Muppet show has an episode (Steve Martin?) in which Gonzo is referred to as Gonzales. Putting it back in Gonzo (muppet) later this week unless you have some compelling reason to leave it out. Brodo 21:38, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

FGordon[edit]

Moving articles and naming conventions.[edit]

HM Wikia[edit]

I don't think it's really a solution of any kind, although it would be nice for it to happen. You shouldn't start a Wikia without knowing some people who will commit to working on it, though. Everyking 23:39, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, my idea is that there are currently people who are upset, because the pages that they worked on are going to be deleted. It would be helpful in general terms, but not in terms of Wikipedia itself. Absolutely, if you can get some people who want to work on it, you should create it. However, the episode pages aren't actually going to be deleted; they were just redirected, and the info can be accessed at any time if you know where to look. I guess the benefit that I see to Wikipedia is that it helps people to have fewer fights. There are constant discussions/arguments about the notability of episode pages, which makes the people who want to write those pages upset. In general, it creates a dynamic of admins vs writers that ultimately turns people off from contributing.
It feels to me like there's an obvious solution, which is to offer the contributors another space where they can write whatever they want, and when those pages are sufficiently developed, they can migrate back to Wikipedia. Right now, the discussion is a pro/con, exclusionist/inclusionist fight -- a two-sided affair that discourages everyone. I think opening sites on Wikia offers a useful third option that helps everyone to move on. -- Danny (talk) 15:11, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
