RE: I have sent you a note about a page you started

Thanks for your words! Tajotep (talk) 15:17, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

Wiville, Arkansas

I appreciate your recent review of my article Wiville, Arkansas. I have an unrelated question. I have a reviewer who is point-blank refusing to allow a page on a technical college in Oklahoma that has 22,000 students per year, on the basis of “zero notability”. I have asked if his objection is to technical colleges generally or anything in the State of Oklahoma, but personally I think any state-operated school with 22,000 students is per se notable. He has also not replied as the what the appeal process might be. Surely, one guy doesn’t have the unilateral right to refuse a page of any kind on a particular topic. So what IS the appeal process, or who do I need to contact? Thanks. TulGuy (talk) 19:06, 4 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello! Hopefully you are having a great day. Could you be more specific on what happens to the article? If it is just drafted, you can work on it and attempted to publish it again.

If it is procedurally deleted, you can contest the deletion. If it has been deleted through AFD, you can still recreate it but you must fix all issues before recreating it.

You can also discuss it with the reviewer if you like, and ask for his/her opinion. If you have more questions, please let me know! Have a good one! ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 20:35, 4 November 2022 (UTC)

Autry Technology Center

The specific article was on the Autry Technology Center, which as stated is a technical college run by the State of Oklahoma and having about 22,000 current students (and presumably hundreds of thousands of alumni, since it has been around since 1967). After I posted the article, I got no message except the standard one that the article had been reviewed by Onel5969. However, when I checked the page, it had been replaced in its entirety by a redirect page going to the List of CareerTech centers in Oklahoma. Since that wasn’t what I posted and I was unclear as to what Onel5969 reviewed, I posted an inquiry on his talk page. That message and his reply were:

You were apparently the reviewer on the page Autry Technology Center, but I'm not sure what you reviewed. The page that currently appears is just a redirect to "List of CareerTech centers in Oklahoma". This is not the page I wrote; I can repost if you need it. If there's a problem with the page I wrote, please let me know what it is. Thanks. TulGuy (talk) 17:20, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, I reviewed your page, which had zero notability, and redirected it to the list article, which is what I said in the edit summary. Onel5969 TT me 10:51, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I believe a state-sponsored technical school with 22,000 yearly students is per se notable. What does he want—Nobel laureate graduates? It’s a technical school. I doubt he objects when a tech-trained service person shows up to fix his plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, car, or whatever. Whether his objection is to technical schools generally or anything from Oklahoma, I find his position of “zero notability” elitist, outrageous, and way out of step with the standards of other reviewers on Wikipedia.

I’m sure if he’s “called” on it, Onel5969 will simply come up with other excuses for not allowing the page in its current form, but he’s made it pretty clear that he’s not allowing it under any circumstances. I will be happy to work with another reviewer, or simply see a changed version of the page posted, but I’ve gone as far as I can go with Onel5969.

Here is the page, in its entirety.

Autry Technology Center (“ATC”) is located at 1201 W Willow in Enid, Oklahoma.[1] ATC is one of 29 CareerTech schools across the State of Oklahoma.[2]

History

Following approval in May of 1966 of State Question 434 establishing vocational school districts in Oklahoma,[3] ATC was established in 1967 as one of the five original vocational technical schools in the state.[4] The school opened as the O.T. Autry Area Vocational Technical Center, named after Otwa Tilden Autry, who served as the first superintendent through the Enid School System.[5] In 1993, the “Autry Technology Center” name was officially adopted for marketing purposes.[5]

Programs

The school provides 25 full-time career training programs for high school students and adults with five Advanced Medical programs.[4] It offers comprehensive services to more than 500 business and industry partners, offering not only 5,000 different classes, but also customized training as needed by its partners.[4] The James W. Strate Center for Business Development has been opened to help new entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.[4]

Other campuses

Besides the main campus, ATC has the Autry Woodring Campus at 1026 S. 66th Street in Enid, which accommodates industrial training programs, seven classrooms and the youthful offender welding program.[6] Autry also offers a number of on-line courses.[7]

Enrollment and accreditation

ATC serves some or all of the Billings, Chisholm, Cimarron, Covington-Douglas, Drummond, Enid, Garber, Hennessey, Kremlin-Hillsdale, Mulhall-Orlando, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, Pond-Creek Hunter, Timberlake, and Waukomis school districts.[8] Enrollment is FY22 was 21,958, up from 18,690 in FY2021.[9] Tuition-wise, for the 2021-2022 school year, the cost of the Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology program, which is ATC’s largest, was $2,100.[10] ATC is accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education and the Oklahoma State Department of Education.[11]

Undoing IP edits because you think IPs are useless makes you an idiot too.

One of us has a degree in this field. Pacifism has nothing to do with passivism and if you had ever studied anything in your life you may understand this. Please feel free to delete your Wikipedia account because you clearly meet the criteria for incompetence just like Donald Trump meets the same criteria. 120.22.104.169 (talk) 03:39, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

Hello and hopefully you have a great day today. To tell you the truth, your edit stood out as you attempted to place a link like this: false to the article. But after I examine your edits, your edits constitute WP:OR as you provided no source. I understand that you may have a degree in the field (I am not) but personal synthesis is not allowed on Wikipedia. If you provide sources in addition to the material you added, I am sure it will be a great addition to the project. Have a great day. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 03:47, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
There is no OR or synth, please feel free to pick up your dictionary and learn what the word civil means, then what the word disobedience means. The American definition as per Websters dictionary is quite specific actually and while I hate a world subsumed by Americanisms you may want to read the number one reference from this link from Webster's dictionary that points out that civil in this sense refers to civil law... If I wanted to synth something out of my ass I'd use a Moog to make funny noises and then copy pasta them all over the internet in a childish troll like behaviour. Just because you support Donald Trump doesn't mean you get to make up new definitions, as we are finding out as his precious Maralago was raided by the "cops."
You may also wish to realise treason and sedition (although they probably won't be the specific criminal charge brought against Trump) are capitol punishment qualified... Maybe then you will realise what synth actually is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.22.104.169 (talk) 03:58, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
SunDawn, what does "is one of being involved in behavior of or in or relationship to" mean? Drmies (talk) 04:12, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
I didn't understand about it at all. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 16:35, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

WMF pay

SunDawn, thank you for weighing in at the RfC, but note that WMF board members are actually unpaid. The top earners listed here are the executives, not the board members. Board members are volunteers, like us. Best, Andreas JN466 21:15, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

Ah, my apologies. Thanks for the correction. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 21:22, 21 November 2022 (UTC)

I was able to get autopatrol status recently. However I realized I would miss seeing your wonderful notes of encouragement from the NPP process. I hope you keep sending them to others! PigeonChickenFish (talk) 03:28, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
