Bisakol / Masbateño[edit]

Yes, Masbateño is considered a Bisakol language. Sorsoganon and Masbateño are very similar. --Chris S. 06:40, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hrm. Sorsoganon is what the natives sometimes call it. The terms that I use are Central Sorsogon for what is refered to as "Sorsogon, Masbate." Southern Sorsogon is "Sorsogon, Waray." These are the terms used by Bikol linguist, Jason Lobel who has done linguistic field research in Bicol in the late 1990's and early 2000's. They are outlined in his book An Satuyang Tataramon which is about the languages of Bicol. Also, I just revamped the Bikol languages page. I invite you to take a look. I am in the process of having another Wikipedian (hopefully) make a dialect map so it'll be easy to read. But you can see a rough copy of what I made at http://members.aol.com/linggwistik/private/bicoldialectmap.jpg which is based on the map Jason made at http://members.aol.com/linggwistik/private/lobeldialectmap.jpg. --Chris S. 20:39, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sonia Couling[edit]

Hello Mikenassau, I think you get the correct name for her. But right now there is no article about her in Thai WP. --Manop - TH 21:18, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Susan Watkins[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Susan Watkins. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Susan Watkins. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 02:32, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, would you be so kind as to give us support![edit]

Hello, I hope you're doing fine and I sincerely apologize for this intrusion. I'm Claudi Balaguer, a member of a Catalan association "Amical de la Viquipèdia" which is trying to get some recognition as a Catalan Chapter but this hasn't been approved up to that moment. I know that you are also trying to obtain a Californian Chapter and I sincerely hope that you will succeed and I think that all the members of our association feel likewise because denying it implies, in my opinion, going against the spreading of knowledge creating boundaries to creativity and collective voluntary work. So maybe I am not bothering you and you will help us... We would appreciate your support, visible if you stick this on your first page: Wikimedia CAT. Supporting us will be like giving equal opportunity to minorized languages, cultures and local or regional entities in the future! Thanks again, wishing you a great summer, take care! And I also want to thank you because my knowledge of English has gained two new words: melungeon and mestee, and my general knowledge has grown wider since I didn't know anything about this "local" "melting pot", a beautiful picture by the way, wishing your family all the best! I wish I could visit your great, beautiful and sunny region once more soon! If you ever need my (probably "our" too) help you can count on me even though I'm currently really far away from California. Capsot (talk) 16:11, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Nontheism[edit]

See: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nontheism.

Greetings, I see that you have chosen to conspicuously identify as a "Nontheistic Wikipedian" Me too! Currently there is a proposal to delete the article Nontheism or merge and redirect it to Atheism. Greg Bard (talk) 22:27, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Francesca Martinez (Italian model) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks for starting that article! I knew these things existed. I've seen them for attendant's use at parking/valet garages in the US, but never knew they had a name at all. DMacks (talk) 02:25, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
