Thanks for uploading Image:Fellowship Church.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples and John Renesch

Hi John, I spotted your question on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags page but as I had a bit to say I thought I'd come and say it on your user talk page.

• I noticed you edited your own entry on wikipedia - this is considered a conflict of interest and is against Wikipedia policy - see WP:COI and WP:AUTO. I'm sure you meant well but it might be best to avoid editing that article again. If in the future someone does, however, put anything in your article you feel to be untrue then you should address that through the process outlined on Wikipedia:Contact us/Article problem/Factual error (from subject).
• You indicate that you have links with Church for the Fellowship of All Peoples and if you are involved in the leadership there I would also ask you to think carefully about contributing to that article.
• If you are able to continue working on that article it would be really good if you made sure it was formatted and arranged in accordance with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. The Wikipedia:Manual of Style contains a lot of information on how to write and format a good article. If an article creator can get this right from the start it saves other editors time later!
• Finally.... the images from the church's website... As the website includes a copyright notice at the bottom this would indicate that the church consider's all information and images on its website copyright. To use these images on wikipedia you need to get the church to release the pictures either fully into the public domain or under the terms of the GFDL - releasing them just for use on Wikipedia or non-commerical use isn't accepted. The best thing you can do is officially request permission from the church leaders. Then they can either change the copyright notice on their website or email Wikipedia declaring that they release all (or certain) pictures on their website under a Wikipedia compatible license - more details can be found at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.
