Your link additions[edit]

Hi, I assume that you work with the organisation. That would mean that you are a great assett for Wikipedia, however, I am going to template here two warnings:

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.

and

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page North Carolina Shipbuilding Company do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Although external links can be useful, we are more helped by adding content, which is referenced to suitable sources. As you were adding the links now, they fail our external links guideline (the page you link to is not directly linked to the information), and technically, you were spamming wikipedia. May I ask you to seek contact with a wikiproject, and discuss what you and your organisation have to offer. Suitable WikiProjects can be found via Wikipedia:WikiProject, or via banners on talkpages of pages where you are interested in. I hope this explains why I have reverted all your link additions. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 17:32, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

Please stop adding links only. We are writing an encyclopedia, based on content, not on external links to content. Please take up the suggestion to discuss your information with a wikiproject. I have, again, reverted all your edits. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 10:07, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
