RE: Using Twinkle

Hello, Hamham31. You have new messages at Mlpearc's talk page.
Message added Mlpearc powwow 03:33, 6 September 2011 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Well thanks for the information. And I hope that we will still be a Wikibuddies.Hamham31 (talk) 03:38, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Sure no problem. If you have any problems with Twinkle let me know and I'll help if I can, If I can't we'll find out together. Cheers Mlpearc powwow 03:44, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
One thing, I've noticed in my rejected request on Rollback. You said to me that i've got to make a vandal fighting history, well how do I make it? Hamham31 (talk) 03:57, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
When Admin's go to WP:PERM and work the request, specifically Rollback they look for vandal fighting edits in your User contributions they check and see if you understand what vandalism is, and that you understand the difference between good faith edits and vandalism, because Rollback is to be used ONLY for reverting obvious vandalism and it can be used to revert your own edits. Just start using Twinkle and revert vandalism when you find it to in a sense build a history for them to look at. A good place to do this is Recent changes. I hope this helps. Cheers. Mlpearc powwow 05:24, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

If you are going to use Twinkle for deletion nominations, could you please set your computer clock to the correct date and time? Your latest MFD nomination was filed under the date of "August 11, 2011", which is clearly not correct. — This, that, and the other (talk) 07:40, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

You have new message/s Hello. You have a new message at Shanayujilover's talk page.

Better source request for File:Hamtaro301.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Hamtaro301.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Philosopher Let us reason together. 07:26, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

The particular issue with the URL you gave is that it just has the image on it. What webpage did you find the image on? The URL with just the image isn't sufficient because it doesn't have any information on the copyright status of the image. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 11:32, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Possibly unfree File:Hamtaro301.jpg

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Hamtaro301.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Philosopher Let us reason together. 07:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

License tagging for File:MondoManuAksyonTV.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:MondoManuAksyonTV.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:06, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

September 2011

Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to DWKC-TV can easily be misinterpreted. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Thank you. -WayKurat (talk) 04:45, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I just can't control it. Next time i'll be watch out what am I saying before I react anything and everything. Hamham31 (talk) 04:49, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Hey Hamham31, just a note: try to keep comments at WP:PERMS [1] to a minimum for two reasons 1). When "echoing" a {{nao}} it's very easy for the requester to take it as WP:BITEY. 2). Even a seasoned editor will feel they're being "Tag bombed". Just a little FYI Cheers. Mlpearc powwow 01:48, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

OK Mlpearc, if I did anything wrong, thanks for notifying me :), anyways I have a question (which I leaved it to your user talk, I don't know if you read it yet) Can you tell me how did you put a color in your signature (Just like the one you're doing)? Thanks again. Hamham31 (talk) 01:59, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
(edit conflict) You're fine, I just wanted you to be aware of how things can be perceived, as far as the signature I just looked for a signature that had color (cuz I'm not that good at writing original wikitext) and adapted the script around my signature. Here is the script I use in my signature. [[User:Mlpearc|<span style='font-family:;color:#800020'>'''Mlpearc'''</span>]] <small>[[User_talk:Mlpearc|<span style='font-family:;color:#CFB53B'>'''powwow'''</span>]]</small>
Hope this helps. Mlpearc powwow 02:18, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Um where do i put these code on a javascript? Hamham31 (talk) 02:32, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
You can do it that way, the ones I've seen are on a .css page like User:Hamham31/sig.css then just "subst" it into your User Preferences signature line like so Hamham31 Heke! (Note: it doesn't have to be "/sig.css" you can put any discriptive name you wish). I have the script above in the signature line in User Preferences. Mlpearc powwow 03:03, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
I can't put it on my own user preference, I don't know how, Mlpearc did you have any ideas on how did you put this code?Hamham31 Heke!. Thanks and Cheers.Hamham31 (talk) 01:24, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
To put signature code in your preferences, just go to Special:Preferences, scroll down to the "Signature" section, add your code, and make sure the "treat the above as wiki-markup" box is checked. Save the page and you should be good to go! --Philosopher Let us reason together. 09:25, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi, sorry but I've had to decline your request for rollback, check the permissions page for my response. WilliamH (talk) 15:29, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Well that's OK, WilliamH, i'm trying to do my part, but I guess I need more experience about it. But that's OK anyway. I'm not blaming you, and also I understand that you do the right thing for Wikipedia. Hamham31Heke! 05:31, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello, Hamham31, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, DWBB-TV, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing! Bluemask (talk) 18:00, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Observation

When answering request such as this one you need to pay attention to what the people say. In the request they said that the rights to the images were owned by the museum and that the museum did not want to give up those rights. Your response to their request is to ask the copyright status of the images after they have already given that information. If you have any questions let me know. AfD and PROD notifications

Hi! Back in November, you got either an AfD or PROD notification and it was during one of the template testing project's experiments. If you could go here and leave us some feedback about what you think about the new versions of the templates we tested (1, 2), that would be very useful. (You can also email me at swalling@wikimedia.org if you want.) Thanks, Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 23:49, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

The article Motorcycle Diaries (documentary) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:50, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 25

Hi. When you recently edited List of programs broadcast by BEAMtv, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Life (TV series) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Hope Channel Philippines has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't assert notability with reliable sources.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Yutsi Talk/ Contributions 01:01, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Apologies for the overzealous WP:PROD nomination. I removed it and added an "under construction" template, so that no one else repeats the mistake. In the future, you can remove the nomination yourself, as the proposed deletion guideline dictates that if ANYONE objects (including author), that they may remove the template, and the nomination is cancelled.--Yutsi Talk/ Contributions 01:10, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Official Logo of Hyper TV.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Official Logo of Hyper TV.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:12, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

Dear Hamham31,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

April 2013

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically DWKC-TV, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 12:39, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
