Radar[edit]

Thanks for the additions but yours are much too British-centred. Watson-Watt is not THE father of radar, he is only the most known developper of it because the Allied won the war. The German, the French, the Americans and many others contributed and in the case of the German, they had a much better device. The only claim that Watson-Watt has, is to be the first to help develop a complete network.

Your source is biaesed, being from Scotland the birth place of Watson-Watt. I'm not saying that he was not important in radar development, I'm just pointing the fact that he is not the know-alll you pretend to make him! He did not set up the American network for instance, they had a radar in Peral Arbour for instance and developped de CXAM on their own. Watson-Watt was just helping them to coordonate their network! Hello Edward Highgate, welcome to Wikipedia! Below this message I'm going to leave a template welcome that has a lot of useful links. I saw your edit to Richard Owen. I see your reasoning (if the link's broken, it's useless, so why leave it in?) but just removing the link is probably not the best solution. The first thing I'd try when you find a dead link is finding an archived version of the page, using something like the Internet Archive's Wayback machine. You can then add the archived URL into the article, like I did at Richard Owen. If you can't recover an archived version of the page, I'd suggest trying to find an alternate source for the information and citing that, so as not to leave formerly-sourced unsourced.
