Sock puppet rules[edit]

Let me amend that; if you are trying to conceal your editing from people you know in real life, but it might be useful to put on your user page what your main account is, or contact an administrator privately and notify them who your main account is. If you are trying to conceal patterns from other editors, that is not allowed. Thank you. Citrusbowler (talk) (contribs) (email me) 20:20, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, it is certainly the former, but I am not comfortable linking my main account. Could you recommend an admin I could contact? --Editor2286 (talk) 20:25, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is a list of admins here, though if you aren't comfortable linking your account, you don't have to contact an admin. You only need to do that if you are being investigated for sockpuppetry by this account. However, if your main account becomes an admin or is under ARBCOM sanctions, you do have to contact ARBCOM (which you probably don't have to). In summarization, you don't have to tell anyone your main account if you are using this for privacy unless you want to clear up who owns this account.
