This needs better references. In general, we prefer not to cite other Encyclopedias. It's OK for the occasional fact, but should not be the major source of data. But, more than that, these references just point to index entries. We need something much more in depth.

Please see WP:NGEO for requirements. Something like [1], for example (but that, by itself, wouldn't be enough).

I'm not sure this needs to be its own article. Quite possibly it could just be merged with Lesser Caucasus.
