Guatemala - Yucatán relations refers to the historical foreign relations between Guatemala and The Republic of Yucatán. Relations effectively began in 1841 when Yucatán secceeded from Mexico. Relations terminated in 1848 when Yucatán rejoined The Mexican Federation.

New Spain[edit]

Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Yucatán where all provinces of New Spain, which became the Mexican Empire for just two years (1821-23), before collapsing and becoming a republic, its five most southern provinces secceding and The Federal Republic of Central America. Yucatán considered joining the Federation but thought it unwise, until about two decades latter.
