If you're reading this, I am a journalist from the Southwest. I pride myself on fact-checking and accuracy, both in sources and in spelling and grammar. My favorite topics are literature, entheogenic drugs, religion (especially Christianity because I love Jesus), obscure indie music and film photography. I don't exactly consider myself an expert in anything, but a student of everything (that interests me, that is).

One of my New Year's resolutions for 2014 was to edit Wikipedia more. I get so much from this site that I want to give back in addition to the small donations I've made. I've been in love with the Wikimedia project since 2005, when I was still a teenager, but the strict, zealous bureaucracy of Wikipedia has long discouraged me from contributing. It seems like I would put a lot of work into an article that would just get deleted or criticized or my edits would be reverted for some other petty reason. Maybe I'm just bad at this. But that's not stopping me now! I really believe in this project and contributing to the Public Domain, so I won't let rejection get me down. However, I'm still a novice at this and appreciate any and all advice, patience and helpfulness. Thank you!

This user believes Wikipe-tan established a cult of personality and is now destroying Wikipedia.
