After the Kerams in Ambiya and the Ajmeen in the Sahaba, the work of propagating and spreading Islam has been done all over the world through the Kerams in Alem, Ulama, Pir Mashayef Auliya. Although the Ajmains did not come to this country, the arrival of the family members of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Auliya Kerams spread Islam in Pakistan, India & Bangladesh. The historical Azimpur Sessions Sharif's service in the propagation of Islam in Bangladesh is significant.[1]

Sayyid Mohammad Bakhtiyar Mahisawar (r.h.), one of the great saints of the famous Bar Auliya who came to this subcontinent, came from Baghdad. He came to this country by climbing on the surface of the fish and crossing the undulating sea. He is known as Mahi Sawar. After his arrival in this country, he stayed on the banks of the river Halda near the Kalur Ghat Bridge near the present Chittagong city. Hazrat Bakhtiyar Mahi Sawar (Rah.) Was the beloved daughter of Allah Mahbub Akheri Nabi (S.) Fatima (Rah.). ) 'S descendants. Two grandchildren were born in the womb of his wife Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA). Hazrat Sayyed Jahanshah (Rah.) And Hazrat Sayyed Md. Haya Shah (Rah.). Hazrat Sayyid Haya Shah, the second son of Mohammad Bakhtiyar Mahi Sawar, appeared in the lineage of Hazrat Shahsufi Sayyid Mohammad Dayen (Rah.), The great tapas of Azimpur Dayra Sharif. In the first half of the twelfth century AH, Shah Sufi Sayyid Dayen (Rah.) Was born in a place called Khaiyara in the middle of Chittagong district. At the beginning of his life, he was blessed with the teachings of religion as well as Tariqat and took the oath of allegiance as a young man to the then Shah Amanat Khan Mujaddidi of Chittagong. Then Hazrat Makhdum Shah Md. Monaim (R.H.) from Patna, India took the top position and with the tireless pursuit and sincere concentration in the special grace of Allah, he was attracted and kind to him for twelve years at a time. Hazrat Sufi said to Dayen Sahib, Baba Dayen, if you agree to fulfill the four conditions given to me, then I can try to do something for you. The conditions are- 1. He will stay in Dhaka city under siege. 2. Put your trust in God in all matters and in all circumstances. 3. Will get married. 4. Mango, langar, kangal, dukhi and common banquet halls will be introduced at the location.

When Khan Amanat Shah Mujaddidi (Rah.) Instructed the court of the then Shah Amanat (Rah.) In Chittagong on the instructions of his Morshed, Shah Sufi Dayem (Rah.) Said, Hazrat, where shall I go to Dhaka city? Morshed ordered him to dive into Lal Dighi in Chittagong, then engage himself in preaching the religion in the area where he would rise (Dhaka). Acting accordingly, he drowned in a pond in a crowded place in Dhaka's Azimpur Eklaka.

Hazrat Shah Dayem (Rah. ) Arrived in Dhaka in about 16 AD 1160 AH and first settled in the mosque of the historian Khan Mohammad at Amli Golastha, west of Lalbagh fort. He once moved from that mosque to the two-storied mosque at the western end of the present Azimpur cemetery, built by Shah Faizullah in 1160 AH. During his stay in the two-storied mosque, the crowd gradually increased, and one night he took refuge with Khadem Mahi Shah under a huge tree in the deep forest near Azimpur cemetery. Note that the mattress of Dayara Sharif is located at the mentioned place.

The death of Hazrat Shahsufi Sayyed Mohammad Dayen, the founder of Daira Sharif Khankah, took place on the first Shaban of 1214 AH. His successors were Shah Sufi Sayyed Ahmadullah and Shah Sufi Sayyed Lakkitullah.

Shahsufi Sayyed Mazharul Haq Wali Ullah, Shahsufi Sayyed Khalilullah, Syed Lakkitullah Sunny Shahsufi Sayyid Waliullah alias Shahjahan, Shahsufi Sayyid Fazlullah alias Shah Ali Shahsufi Sayyid Saifullah Jinnur.

At present[edit]

At present, Syed Shah Ahmad Ullah Yobay's Gadinshin is the seventh subordinate male and tenth Gadinshin of Shahsufi Sayyed Mohammad Dayem, the founder of Azimpur Sessions Sharif. Haji Mosammat Jahan Ara Begum was born in the year 978 AH in the year 1386 AH on the 11th Ramadan of Azimpur Daira Sharif.
