BlitzKrieg (Sport)[edit]

File:Alksdjf;aiwejf;akfjeijf.jpg Blitzkrieg (German, "lightning war"; listen) is a competitive team sport played on a tennis court with tennis balls. The rules are much different then tennis and Blitz is more action packed and fast paced. Blitzkrieg is a gentlemans game and the closest person to the play makes the call. Blitzkrieg is a fairly new game that orginated in the small West Michigan town of Caledonia Township.

Rules[edit]

1. Each team is allowed 6 bounces, no more. The seventh bounce is a point for the opposing team.

2. If the ball rolls on the opposing team’s side it is a point

3. You may bounce the ball 3 times on your racket and a 4th bounce to put the ball into play

4. The green court and the blue surrounding the court are inbounds, the adjacent court is out

5. If the ball sticks in the holes in the fence on the other team's side it is 2 points

6. If the ball bounces once on the opposing side and then clears the back fence it is 3 points. This is called a field goal

7. Head shots are 5 points, but it must hit their head before any other object including other body parts

8. If the ball bounces once then clears the side fence it is a 1/2 point

9. The first man to call blitz with a ball in hand and on the serve line may serve.

10. If you hit the ball out of the court by any means you must retrieve it, resulting in the opposing team having a power play

11. The net is to be used to front player’s advantage at his discretion

12. If the ball hits the fence in bounds then bounces into the other court it is in play.

13. If the ball goes through the gap between the door and fence it is 2 points

14. The ball must make it over the net or the corresponding imaginary line the net creates

15. Your racket may cross the net, you may not.

16. If you do not count the bounces out loud the count is assumed to be at zero.

17. If the ball never enters the court and sails over it is the opposing team's point

18. If a serve doesn't make it over the net it is a fault, a double fault is the other team's point and serve.

19. Close the gate or it is out by your fault and you must retrieve it.

20. Smack talking and showboating are recommended but after the game, no whining. A win is a win is a win

21. If you accidently hit someone with your racket it is legal, but don't be a jerk

22. You may not stall the ball on your racket that is a dead ball

23. If the opposing team's racket touches the ball before it has gone over the bounce resets

24. You may say anything you please but you cannot lie about the official count.

25. You can't pin the ball dead on the other team's side, go for it on yours.

26. You may use your head and chest to play the ball off of a bounce or racket

27. You may not use your hands. A handball is a point for the other team.

28. If the ball is ever to become wedged into the triangle hole in the rackets it is reblitzed.

29. Once a ball goes field goal, sticks in the fence, or headshots, it is a dead ball.

30. If an ACTUAL injury ever occurs that keeps a blitzer out for multiple games, he may be replaced before a scheduled game. He must be agreed upon by both teams and not already committed to another blitzkrieg team

31. you may not throw your racket across the net, but on your side to make a save is fair game

32. On a power play if your ball is truly lost and you have been gone for more than 60 seconds you may return

33. If you are about to be head shot and you use your hands to cover your head intentionally it is still a headshot
