Geoflex[edit]

Geoflex is a French company, formed in 2012, specializing in high accuracy positioning technology. It develops correction services to mitigate the inaccuracies of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), for all global constellations, namely GPS, Galileo, Glonass and BeiDou. Geoflex services are used in various markets including: "precision farming, autonomous vehicles and mobility solutions" according to a statement in a news article.[1] According to a video interview with French TV BFM Business Geoflex CEO indicated the company is working with “six large French corporations part of the CAC 40 Index plus the French railway operator SNCF.“[2]

The company was initially founded by Romain Legros, a French entrepreneur who had already developed a business in the geo-location market with a previous company, Geodata Diffusion, who was sold to global GNSS software and solution vendor Hexagon.[3] In 2015 he was joined by Cyrille Michaux, who became a shareholder and took an executive role as sales director.

Geoflex core technology was built upon the licensing of patents developed by a group of GNSS experts at the French Space Agency CNES. This collaboration was made official in 2016.[4]

The technology used is called PPP (Precise Point Positioning) and is said to provide positions with an horizontal accuracy of up to 4cm (95% confidence level), worldwide, according to the company.
