Re:Blooddrunk (song)

My initial reaction is that it looks like it has potential- I'd guess it'd be able to pass after some simplish suggestions from the reviewer. Now's a good time to nominate at GAC, as there is currently a backlog elimination drive; this means that, hopefully, articles should get fairly quick reviews. J Milburn (talk) 13:09, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Concerning Enter the Grave, I've added a rationale to the image (it would have quick-failed otherwise) and it still needs to be reduced to 300x300 pixels. Without giving a full review of the article myself, I'd be inclined to say the lead is too short, and some of the sources could be questioned- is Metal Revolution definitely reliable? Some links to the various magazines would also be good. I intend to do some GA reviewing myself soon, so I may get to that in the coming days... J Milburn (talk) 13:40, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Well, you have an awful lot of information concerning the recording and details concerning the promotion. It's not so much that something is missing, I'm just comparing the length of the lead to the length of the article itself. J Milburn (talk) 16:45, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

Enter The Grave

Lucifer, can you give me about a week and a biteen to work through this? Although the article is very strong and you are well on your way. Fustratingly, my comp is fucked at the moment and I can only operate in safe mode, which means no sound so I don't know what they sound like. Baa. Ceoil (talk) 00:07, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Hey

Nice to hear from you again. I'm veeeeeery busy this month, so Wiki time is extremely limited. I do want to help you out, and I'll be able to by the start of May at the latest. In the meantime, might want to take a look at the old metal FAs (particularly all the slayer pages your worked on) to make sure they haven't disintegrated in your long abscence. Glad to have a quality editor like you back. WesleyDodds (talk) 13:11, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Eyes of the Insane

Sorry, but I don't quite understand your edit summary. The article was promoted to FA in 2007, and I looked at the comments--I don't quite understand how the dropped tuning was kept. Either way, the phrase you restored, "which are given greater emphasis and dramatic impact by", I really don't see how that is verified in any source, and that the key would be unnatural and "off" (which is saying a lot more than "dropped"), it seems to me that a requirement for sourcing there is perfectly within guidelines. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 20:30, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Didn't pick up on the fact that was uncited - the sentence has now been removed. Thanks for keeping an eye out. LuciferMorgan (talk) 20:42, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, Lucifer. In part I asked because in plot summaries a certain amount of original research seems to be OK (you watch the movie and then summarize it, so to speak). I often wonder how far that goes in music. The FA review involved some editors who knew what they were talking about (I wouldn't be able to tell the dropped tuning in "Cinnamon Girl," which I'm listening to right now, if I didn't know it), and I've tried to hold back in writing on similar topics (see Love Devotion Surrender), but never knew exactly when it was too much. Anyway, thanks for your response--and, belatedly, congrats on the FA! ;) Drmies (talk) 23:30, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Enter the Grave

Updated DYK query On April 16, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Enter the Grave, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

FAC

Just to let you know, iridescent is a pretty good person and usually spot on. If you work with her, it will very much be to the article's benifit, so be cool. I feel as if I abondened you, fixing that now. Ceoil (talk) 12:35, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't question her as a person, but I do feel she is wrong on the issues she raised. LuciferMorgan (talk) 13:34, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Lucifer, I'm really sorry for the delay-- real life has been slamming me lately. Instead of my talk, I put my response on FAC talk, since it's frustrating to me, and needs wider feedback. Best, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Can you tell me why you think iridescent was referring to your FACs in particular with the the phrase "A lot of fansites, press-release aggregators and such which were grudgingly accepted in 2007 FACs" - or was it something else she said? Thanks. Awadewit (talk) 19:01, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Based on the fact all my previous FACs were passed in 2007, and based on her comments in my current FAC regarding Blabbermouth, particularly: "given that blabbermouth.net isn't necessarily a reliable source (it relies quite heavily on press releases and reproducing material from musicians' own websites)". That comment comes despite the fact that Blabbermouth.net is the premiere resource as it relates to heavy metal news, but there you go. LuciferMorgan (talk) 19:05, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Could you link me to the current FAC? Thanks. (And I see why you would draw that conclusion.) Awadewit (talk) 19:21, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
It's here. LuciferMorgan (talk) 20:04, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Imperial Triple Crown

Your majesty, it gives me great pleasure to bestow these Imperial triple crown jewels upon LuciferMorgan for musical contributions to articles in the areas of WP:DYK, WP:GA, and WP:FC. (and the award even has a black background) Well done good sir, Casliber (talk · contribs) 11:59, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks man, much appreciated. I liked the black background comment, by the way - fits the metal demeanour. LuciferMorgan (talk) 12:01, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
I figured you'd get the joke ;) Casliber (talk · contribs) 12:11, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
