Good picture, but it is so large that it makes my user page distorted with the "Pic of the day" template. Is there something that can be done about it? -Phoenixrod (talk) 19:58, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you mean. Your user page looks fine to me, and this image is the usual 300px wide size. howcheng {chat} 23:55, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps it was my settings? All I know is that the picture of Mussolini and Hitler was so wide earlier today that I had to scroll to the right to see the whole thing. It was huge. -Phoenixrod (talk) 03:44, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mussolini-picture photo[edit]

It is doubtful that Eva Braun took this picture in 1940 and this for two reasons. First of all because I don't think the two Fascist leaders met in 1940 in a state visit by the German leader to Italy; second because all the historic references to Eva Braun say that she was never seen in public with Hitler. Eva Braun was, let us not forget, his secret mistress; how could she take a picture of Mussolini and Hitler at the car level as they are driven down what is ostensibly an Italian street (as evinced by the presence of Italian military along a parade route lined up with people). The picture might have been in Eva Braun's archive but it was likely taken when Hitler was on a state visit to Italy in May 1938 or in November 1941. I am more inclined to think the first. Look at this video clip from the 1938 visit -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FP0vF0Lw3Cw&feature=related. Although the two leaders are not sitting in the same place, the car in the photo and the videoclip seem to have the same retractable roof. Again all this is not based on first hand knowledge but only on suppositions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chisen-ca (talkcontribs) 17:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
