Template talk:Avinor link

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template was created for use on articles about Norwegian airports operated by Avinor.

It is used for creating an external link to the Avinor website's entry on a particular airport. The website addresses of these airports change from time to time, causing a whole swathe of links to become "dead" all at once. By employing a template, it is hoped that an update on the Avinor website can be addressed by updating this one template, rather than 30-40 different airport articles.

Arguments used in the template are

  • {{{1}}} is part of the web address of the airport entry in question. As of January 2008, Avinor avoids the Norwegian letters "Æ", "Ø" and "Å", replacing them with "a", "o" and "a".
  • {{{2}}} is part of the weblink description.

Example

  • {{Avinor link|berlevag|Berlevåg}}
    • This creates a link to www.avinor.no/lufthavn/berlevag?type=d with the description "Avinor entry for Berlevåg Airport" (bolds emphasise effects of arguments.)
