What is this supposed to mean?[edit]

" Zhou Wen was sent for adoption after birth, followed by alleged dark influences." Untitled[edit]

I was wondering how come that on this page, it is written that Zhou Xuan died of cephalitis, when on the page about [Shanghai], it says that she committed suicide.

She most definitely died of illness.[edit]

This is well known and established in virtually all sources. A misconstrued figure of speech might have been the cause for the misconception that Zhou died of other causes. It is commonly said that Zhou died of "a broken heart" - she died shortly after a nervous breakdown - a nervous breakdown can hardly be deemed a direct cause of death.

As many famous actresses who enjoyed great success and popularity, Zhou was nevertheless made very unhappy by the men in her several relationships. Thus it is also commonly said that she was "driven to death/madness" by the cruel men in her life. That, however does not imply murder or suicide.

no we can not imply anything but just one question, isn't it strange that her death certificate still remains classified at the mental institute that she was forced into?

Flag[edit]

That republic of china flag in the infobox was a typo for the death section. It should however be correct on the birth section. But I will leave it alone since I can see why it causes confusion. Benjwong 04:39, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year?[edit]

In this version, it said that she was born in 1918. But in the Chinese article, it said she was born in 1920. Is there some kind of misinformation desired to be edited? --Gh87 20:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hong Kong[edit]

The current version of this article states that "Between 1946 and 1950, she often went to Hong Kong to make films," but Zhou Xuan also made at least one film in Hong Kong after that, in 1953. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 15:58, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
