Stadler/Luz Section[edit]
Noting up front that I am not an anthropologist and do not know anything about the state of this research or the degree to which Stadler/Luz's claims are accepted. That said, I've been picking at this section, dealing with a couple of issues. First, a couple of lines in this wiki article ("Caves, the epitome of womb-like receptacles...", and "Jewish scriptures equate..." in the notes) were lines taken from versions of their paper, without quotation marks or adequate citation. The uncited "Caves,..." appeared directly prior to a quote block from a version of the article in which it appeared, which led to my initial concern. Second, "Caves,..." appears in a version of the article which appears in Stadler's academia.edu page, but not the version which appeared in the Journal of Anthropological Research, at least as saved to JSTOR. Third, it's just my opinion that these block quotes don't do the best job of summarizing Stadler/Luz's argument, which is interesting. These latter two issues have led me to believe it would be best to remove the block quotes of uncertain source, and replace them with a summary of that argument. So, I intend to do that later today. - One other issue that's obscured in the current article is the source of the usage of the term in this context... the article as of now states that they "report a new usage," while the article itself states that "we have coined the term," LookOnMyEditsYeMighty (talk) 14:03, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

Alright, (finally) posted an edit. This was pretty rough-and-ready so definitely think improvements could be made. Tried to make sure the quoted sections illuminated the bases for the womb comparison. LookOnMyEditsYeMighty (talk) 03:16, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
