Alexandre Dumas was dead in 1880[edit]

"One of its most notable awards was made in 1880, when Alexander Graham Bell received the Volta Prize with its purse of 50,000 francs (approximately $10,000) for the invention of the telephone from L’Académie française[1], representing the French government. Among the luminaries who judged were Victor Hugo and Father Alexandre Dumas" Alexandre Dumas is listed as having died in 1870. Andargor (talk) 04:09, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, but Alexandre Dumas, fils was alive. (And what cloth eared translator decided to write "Father Alexandre Dumas" for Dumas, pére? He wasn't exactly a priest!) HughesJohn (talk) 13:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
