Hello ChocolateOrange1, thank you for writing this article. As Thomas has an entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, that's a very good sign that he's 'notable' as far as Wikipedia is concerned since we look for significant coverage in independent sources. On a related note, I A Fair Book of Surgery should have an entry at some point since it's been discussed by a few different authors.

The article does a good job of summarising the topic, and draws on a range of sources to do so – and looking at the references in the ODNB and Prioreschi's A History of Medicine it looks like the most important works are used here. It also does a good job of providing context such as including information about Morstede's family and connections; the latter part can be tricky to balance as it's easy to end up listing people a subject knew but here you managed to make it clear to the reader why it's relevant. It's a shame the chapel he had built at St Olave's was destroyed in 1666 as that would have made an excellent illustration.

I noticed that you included some links back to this page in other places, particularly the articles on the battle of Agincourt and Henry V. Good thinking! This can take a bit of extra effort, especially in a way which is sensitive to the pre-existing content, but is very worthwhile as it makes it easier for people to find out about Morstede and helps surface aspects of history which might otherwise go unnoticed. Richard Nevell Thank you very much for your feedback and I am glad you agree on Morstede's notability. I am pleased you noticed the external links I added for Thomas Morstede. If you don't mind me asking, how was it that you found the page? @ChocolateOrange1: As it happens I work for Wikimedia UK supporting university courses with a Wikipedia element. I check in with Dr West occasionally to see how things are going and thought I'd take a closer look at the articles since I'm a medievalist and the class is writing some interesting topics.

Page views on new articles can be tricky as every time the page is edited that adds another view, but the increase especially on 2 November as there were only two edits that day. Folks from WikiProject Medicine and the Did You Know project will have been dropping by but that won't account for all of it by any means. It's perhaps too soon to tell, but I reckon the step of adding mentions to other articles is probably the key factor. Richard Nevell (talk) 14:50, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
