Could you please doublecheck the year? The version of the Encyclopedia that I have uses a different one. Or are we using different books entirely? What is the ISBN of the one that you are using? --El on ka 15:38, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cambridge History of Iran[edit]

Page 379 of vol. 5 of the Cambridge History of Iran states only that Taghachar abandoned Baidu, with nothing of his subsequent fate. It is explained on page 381 along the lines I have just put in the article. The Cambridge History does not state that Taghachar was a Governor of Rum, just that he was sent there, nor does it give the year 1297 (only "shortly afterwards" in relation to November 1295). I checked the index as well, which showed all mentions of Taghachar between pages 370 and 381. I also looked for mentions in other books but came up with a blank (and the only copy of Rachid al-Din's works that I could find was in Persian). Sam Blacketer (talk) 08:44, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
