Comments[edit]

In reviewing the sandbox version of the possible Wikipedia site "Sustainable Urbanism", our group was very impressed. On a scale of 1-10, we would rate this sandbox a 9.5. Undoubtedly the strength of this Wikipedia page lies in the strong explanatory skills of its writers. It becomes apparent right away when we examine the definition of sustainable urbanism that they put forth. In our first review of this topic, our group was rather critical of the definition they used because we did not believe the writers expanded on sustainable urbanism enough to separate the concept from related topics such as sustainable cities and new urbanism. Yet in this revised draft, they did a very good job of not only explaining what sustainable urbanism is and how it is separate from other related concepts, but they went a step further and showed the reader where the topic fits in in relation to all other sustainable movements.

The subsections that are provided are also very helpful in expanding upon the topic. They take the reader through the development of the concept and show how it has grown and where it has been applied throughout the world. These examples help the reader to understand the specifics of how the concept is applied. Finally, the twenty plus sources the group list at the bottom of their page provides viewers with plenty of options to further explore the topic in more detail on their own.

If we were forced to make a criticism of this groups work, we would say that they should work to improve the graphics they use on their page. The pictures that were used to help explain the text are rather simple and do not particularly help to further the readers understanding. We would suggest attempting to find blueprints or graphs that show how Sustainable Urbanism is planned or carried out.

Spread intro in the article[edit]

This intro is crazy huge, compared to the overall article length. Please shorten and spread the information accordingly. --Horst-schlaemma (talk) 00:36, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
