Comment[edit]

I think the page looks great. It's a definite improvement from the first edition. The tone is neutral and the referencing is well done. Rather than an overall videography, what do you think about a table that indicates how videos have charted? Do you think that would be more appropriate? For instance, I know that the "If I Fall" video for Doc Walker was not only a #1 video in Canada but also in Australia.Kanis103 (talk) 02:21, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look around the project and see how it is done for other Directors. Remember... it was the cluttered look of the original that gave a bad first impression. So rather than list everything he has done... we might consider just those videos for which he won or was nominated Director of the Year, and only those of his videos that themselves won or were nominated for Video of the Year. Should reduce the field somewhat, and reduce concerns. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 08:44, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree. Due to the length of the videography, it's better to be more of a minimalist in this case. More aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Do you think it would be beneficial to also include videos that have hit #1? Or do you think this would clutter the page? I know some videos have charted but haven't received nominations - "If I Fall" for instance. Kanis103 (talk) 14:04, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is the "clutter" that gets a baleful stare. So perhaps the listing might be something like
    Year - Title - Ranking - Awards - Nominations
so that if has not charted high or received a nomination, it won't be on the list. What'cha think... only if charted in top 10? Top 20? We need some cut-of to keep the list or table managable. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 18:17, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I like the look of the chart. Clean and easy to read. Since the main concern with the deletion review was notability, I feel that sticking to videos that have won awards, have been nominated or have hit the top 10 would fulfill that criteria.
BTW: Thank you for taking on this task. I was prepared to edit the old one or create a new page, but what I would have done would not even compare to what you've done with it. Not only does it look great, it's well written and referenced. Kanis103 (talk) 19:01, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • It's easy to add to, but a little clumsy and has some kinks... so I found one more suitable. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:41, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
