I finally got my hands on a copy of Sussman's book after reading this: "The relationship between Sartre's philosophy of the situation and the Situationist International is clarified by Peter Wollen in his essay Bitter victory.[9]" but Sartre is only mentioned in passing, as part of Debord's intellectual genealogy. I'll rewrite this line if no one defends it soon. Also, if anyone could direct me to another source that deals with the relationship between any parts of existentialism and the SI I'd be much obliged Le kasydzu (talk) 20:40, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the reference to the S.I should be removed, and the same should be done to the reference of Sartre in the S.I. Article. There is no reason to think that they have any relation at all.Here is an article about Sartre written by the S.I. that suggest the contrary. And here is another article that relates the theory of the situation with Henri Lefebvre's theory of moments. Lefebvre himself talks about his relationship with Debord and the S.I in this interview. And in this letter to Jorn, Debord tells how Jorn's critique of the theory moments is at the heart of "situationist" problems. And finally in this letter to Andre frankin, Debord talks about the theory of moments and the situation.--Ahor65 (talk) 02:30, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
