"Author" seems a bit wrong; there's no sign of him having been any more than an very occasional writer; however he worked in the Colonial Office from 1825 to around 1870, when his post - chief clerk - was abolished. (Sources are a bit vague.) So I'm moving the article to "Sir George Barrow, 2nd Baronet" (in line with the titling of Sir John Barrow, 1st Baronet, and changing the description to "civil servant"Ruskinmonkey (talk) 00:39, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
