Italian mine warfare technology[edit]

Thanks for mentioning this, as there was material missing in the article, as well as typos.

Maybe it's just emotional, but one of the images of this ugly war, is of those brave Iranians throwing their bodies into minefields. Germany and the Soviets did that in WWII, but the people running into minefields would be shot if they did not. I think it's very significant, in talking about this war, to mention who provided those land mines.

Also, while Italy did do some naval mines, remember that mining international waters was one of the reasons the US actively fought, doing things including capturing the Iranian minelayer, Iran Ajr.
