Merge[edit]

If these are more or less the same thing, why are these separate articles? If they aren't, isn't there a more elegant solution that reduces the number of articles (for shish taouk, shish taouk (Montreal), and shawarma)? --14.200.68.118 (talk) 19:32, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Merge it as a section to shawarma. --141.196.193.214 (talk) 07:14, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My reading of the articles is that the current shawarma and shish taouk (Montreal) describe the same dish (large pieces of meat cut off a verical, rotating rod, then served with vegetables ...), whereas shish taouk is different (small piece of meat and vegetables cooked together on a skewer ...). So, the word shish taouk, as used in Montreal, is a misnomer for shawarma, in use elsewhere. Therefor I support merging shish taouk (Montreal) and shawarma, but recommend keeping shish taouk separate. Klbrain (talk) 21:57, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
