Reliable sources[edit]

Please see WP:RS. There is no requirement for a reliable source to be available online; books are fine as sources. Peter coxhead (talk) 18:38, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it SHOULD be a requirement when challenged, lest enormous inaccuracies be perpetuated without the possibility of being reviewed. Paul venter (talk) 07:05, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It would be silly for WP editors only to be able to use books or journals which are available online — many important plant sources aren't. For example, Cactus couldn't be written without Anderson's massive book, which is the cactus reference. Books can be checked by other editors if necessary; they are available in libraries.
