AMCKen, yes we do try. Wikipedia is one of many sources that fall under the WP:USERGENERATED heading and therefore should not be used as sources. Other sites mentioned at that link are Ancestry.com, Facebook, Fandom, Find a Grave, Goodreads, IMDb, Instagram, ODMP, Reddit, TikTok, Tumblr, TV Tropes, and Twitter. A rather big spread in the reliability index in that lot. Some of those I wouldn't trust to tell me the sun was still shining. ;)
