Madrasa Alia[edit]

@DeloarAkram, I'm leaving a message here, following our communication on my talk page during October 2022. I re-checked with my copy of Mushir-ul-Haq's Mu'āsirīn and found the statement correct. He states:

1948 میں مدرسہ عالیہ کے پرنسپل ہوکر کلکتہ تشریف لے گئے۔

That's to say, what has been added in the article is backed up by a scholarly source. I'd be glad if you can dig some historical archives from the Madrasa Aliya Calcutta itself, perhaps, we can find any clues. Best, ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:02, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An NCPUL-blog referenced to Monthly Urdu Dunya, May 2020 states that, "اسی درمیان ابوالکلام آزاد کی تحریک پر آ پ کو مدرسہ عالیہ کلکتہ کا پرنسپل مقرر کیا گیا" i.e. "Meanwhile, on the motion of Abul Kalam Azad, he was appointed as the principal of Calcutta Aliya Madrasah". The Mawlana has himself published in Burhan that he was offered this position and he took charge on 2 February. ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:25, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
