Major figure in the realpolitik of Elizabethan and Jacobean England. He should have been the subject of a major article a long while ago and, optimistically, now he will become one soon. The {{notability}} tag is unjustified. --Old Moonraker (talk) 08:10, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Purely by chance, Paul B. and I started simultaneously to provide what you asked for. As my version was far more detailed, however, he finished his first and posted the result. Our having now discussed and considered the two versions he has (not without some pain on his part) graciously conceded that the more detailed one should be used, and I have therefore substituted it for what was there. All constructive comments will be gratefully received. Peter Farey (talk) 08:15, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This was a long way down on my list of things to do, so thanks to you both. The result is far more competent that anything I would have achieved (although at one or two points while reading I too have shared a twinge of discomfort), so I was right to delay! --Old Moonraker (talk) 09:10, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
