- I agree (I have expanded it somewhat). Printmaking is already quite long & needs to be longer; most people whio want to understand the difference won't want to wade through a big article. I might feel differently when printmaking gets the long-promised make-over, but at the moment- NO Johnbod 17:39, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Intro Sentence[edit]

I've updated the introduction of this article. I'm no expert, but reading it was very confusing

Used the term "a relatively simple matter", which was wordy
Quickly introduced two words for the same thing, which was confusing: block, and printing plate
In the next sentence used yet another word, matrix, to refer to the printing plate without a definition or clue that it was the same thing
