would you mind explaining the conjugation of the verb as to how the verb is conjugated.

This is a nice little article. But it overlooks the fact that the passé simple is commonly used in literature as a narrative tense. This is why it is still used, for example, in children's books. seberle (talk) 12:28, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
