Merge this with North Brother Island, East River. 72.225.242.221 (talk) 03:29, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with merging. While this page may be light, it is part of a larger Lighthouses_in_the_United_States#New_York,Lighthouses in New York Template and other lighthouses projects. Merging it with a non-lighthouse page make that significantly more confusing. Ahwiv (talk) 14:39, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's also defunct and should be in a section of the template that says "closed and unused lighthouses" rather than mixing them up with the ones that work. 72.225.242.221 (talk) 07:22, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Many lighthouses on lighthouse lists are defunct. Most use the USCG Historian's list of Historic Light Station Information, hence the templates. "Historic Light Station Information and Photography: New York". United States Coast Guard Historian's Office. Archived from the original on 2017-05-01. It's for an encyclopedia, not a travel or city guide Ahwiv (talk) 00:39, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this lighthouse is, in fact, defunct (can anybody confirm?), shouldn't the article somehow say so and reflect that status? Pylon (talk) 15:24, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please add dates[edit]

I would like to know when the lighthouse was built, when it was automated, and whether it is still operational. 184.57.54.31 (talk) 16:42, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
