My deletion[edit]

I deleted rather large pieces of text. I don't see how they are specifically related to Girenko. Please prove the relevance using references to reliable sources. Lom Konkreta (talk) 21:33, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The text refers to articles on investigation of the racist gangs Shultz-88 and Mad Crowd supposedly involved in the murder of Girenko. The articles suggest that Yevgheny Vyshenkov revealed suspected perpetrators among the Mad Crowd members in January-February 2006 and published his findings in Tainy Sovetnik in May 2006. I believe the wording of the text does not pretend on absolute truth, in accord with the neutral point of view policy. --ilgiz (talk) 00:57, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I am repeating again: the text in question does not discuss Girenko. This artuicle is about Girenko, not about various hate crimes investigations in Russia. If you disagree (and I am lack the ability to read carefully), please cite the text from this pieces which you think is related to Girenko. Lom Konkreta (talk) 18:51, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Response to third opinion request:
Hi there, I've read through the material that was deleted in this edit; [[1]] and I'm inclined to agree with Lom that it shouldn't be in the article.

This is because, whilst it is fairly well cited, it relates mostly to accusations/investigations of and trials for other unrelated crimes which aren't really relevant to a discussion of Mr. Girenko's death. I do think however, that there may be enough material in the sources to write an article about the groups referred to in the deleted material (Russian Republic and Mad Crowd were used a lot but I'm not sure if theyre related), that way anyone who was interested could access it through a wiki-link. Perhaps one of you could try that? (although I'd fully understand if you don't want to write about that sort of subject - so don't feel obliged)

All the best.—Bob House 884 (talk) 19:25, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Bob, your advice does have its merits. However I don't think that every band of hoodlums is desreved to be detailed in wikipedia, with all their ddeds and convictions. At the same time I do agree that a good analytical article makes sense on the subject. However it should not be an original essay or a list compiled from newspapers. It must be based on analytical publications. I am sure there are plenty of them. There are 'tens of thousands such events. Some russian neonazi groups are notable too. Ant they deserve wikipedia articles. But not a team of 6 skinheads with flashy self-name. Lom Konkreta (talk) 23:52, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Killers[edit]

The killers of Girenko are condemned now(in Russian), they are no more «anonymous». Please make corrections in Racism in Russia article, too. Zooh (talk) 08:07, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
