There seems to be confusion in the literature about the definition of "frequency" for MDTD.
Lloyd [Lloyd, Thermal Imaging Systems, Plenum Press, 1975 equation 5.62]uses frequency = 1/2*W where W is the test target width. Waldman and Wooton, Electro-optic Systems Performance Modeling, Artch House, 1993, use the same definition.
However, the manual for the principal MDTD modelling program, FLIR92, gives f = 1/W. Robert 192.93.164.28 (talk) 11:36, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
