Did you know... that Bruckner's military march may not have been performed by the band for which it was composed, but a march he did not write was performed for his centenary?
Bruckner's Military march and the Apollo Marsch[edit]
Despite it was for years attributed to Bruckner, it is now stated that the Apollo Marsch is not by Bruckner, but by Béla Kéler, another pupil of Simon Sechter.
I have added links to good performances of both Bruckner's Military march and the Apollo Marsch. When listening to them, it is obvious that they were not composed by the same composer. --Réginald alias Meneerke bloem (To reply) 11:25, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
