Extant?[edit]

The text says, the book is the "earliest surviving extant piece of Georgian literature", but then names an Armenian translation as earliest manuscript. This Armenian text is, strictly speaking, not part of "extant Georgian literature", so if some expert happens to come across this site, it would be quite interesting to know which is the oldest extant manuscript of this book in Georgian. The problem is that this work is the oldest surviving piece of literature composed in Georgian, but the original 5th-century Georgian manuscript has been lost (the extant Georgian MSS were copied later), but its 10th-century Armenian translation survived. --KoberTalk 20:37, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
