Similar named communities[edit]

I feel some of the empty table cells could benefit with a note. The notes section would explain why although these communities, or similarly named ones, exist in the province, they aren't listed here. I don't know about other provinces, but in Alberta there are counties, but they are incorporated as municipal districts or specialized municipalities, there are hamlets, but they aren't incorporated, there are resort villages, but they are incorporated as summer villages, and in Quebec cities and towns are incorporated as villes. 117Avenue (talk) 06:04, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I was already thinking the same for the empty "city" and "town" cells for Quebec. I'll take a stab at a couple. Feel free to follow suit. Hwy43 (talk) 06:19, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a start. More is coming (e.g., there are "villages" in NS that are considered "incorporated" but aren't municipalities, which is counterintuitive) and references are needed. This article will be a work in progress for some time. Hwy43 (talk) 06:57, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
