Reorganisation suggestion[edit]

I like this article. A lot. Can I make a suggestion, though - can we break it up into two parts, "Active" and "Past" teams? Av 18:54, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had thought about that when deciding on the layout I wanted to use with these articles. Aside from doubling the length of the Table of Contents, I decided that grouping everything together by level of play, then by league looked cleaner. It also makes it easier to tell at a glance how many championships each province has seen in each league when the existing and defunct teams are located close together, IMO. Category?[edit]

It might make sense to create a Category:British Columbia Hockey Teams as a subsection of Category:Sport in British Columbia and use a bot to add it to all the teams on this list (and remove the "Sports in BC" cat) -- TheMightyQuill 04:44, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't "Established" be when the franchise was actually founded?[edit]

It seems like "Established" is used when the team moved to their current city. But it seems like the franchise is "Established" when it is founded, and I believe this field should reflect this, and perhaps the Notes field can reflect when they moved to their current city. Personally, I disagree. Knowing when a team was established in its current market is more important than the franchise founding date, imnsho. The notes indicate where the franchise previously existed. Resolute 13:30, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
