One ship listed four times[edit]

I saw the note on the page, but this ship is listed four times:

  • Wolverine State, original name as built in 1919
  • President Harrison, name as intentionally grounded at China on 8 December 1941
  • Kakko Maru, original Japanese name as repaired and refloated
  • Kachidoki Maru, name at sinking by USS Pampanito (SS-383)

Thanks. — Bellhalla (talk) 11:02, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are These Even Real Ship Names?[edit]

I don't understand exactly why we simply have a long list of names, uncited for the most part, being substituted for an article. Only 16 ships out of the list have actual information attached to them (again, many uncited) and then in the list are names/terms (?) like:

Coastal Craft
Horror Maru
Kamikase (this links to article about kamikase suicide pilots, not a ship)
King Kong Maru
Margaret
Trading Vessel

There was a Japanese ship in the 1930-40s called King Kong? Horror? Coastal Craft? I suggest we cut out all ships that aren't cited. Objections? Beag maclir (talk) 22:06, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the following names since they appear to be vandalism, unlinked or linked to articles that have no reference to Hell Ships: Coastal Craft, Horror Maru, Kamikase, King Kong Maru, Kuala, Margaret, Potomac, President Harrison, Trading Vessel, Treasure, Tone.
