Nuu-chah-nulth spelling of....[edit]

"Ka'yu'k't'h'/Chektles7et'h' or Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k:tles7et'h' - these two spellings were in use on the {{First Nations on Vancouver Island}} template but the more famliar anglicized version has been substited there; saving these for later reference.....Skookum1 09:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"7"[edit]

I wonder how one pronounces the phoneme "7" in "Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k:tles7et'h' First Nation". – Kaihsu (talk) 22:45, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, it is a ʔ or glottal stop. See Nuu-chah-nulth language. – Kaihsu (talk) 22:47, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
