Formula backward? I think the formula defining the Kostka-Foulkes polynomials is backwards. They should appear as the coefficients when writing the shur functions in terms of the Hall-Littlewood polynomials and not the other way around. See http://arxiv.org/pdf/math/0401298v1.pdf equation (3.14) and the last display equation on page 23. Ahhoefel (talk) 14:31, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Example. Here's a table for $K_{\lambda,\mu}(t)$ from MacDonald's book. The book doesn't make it clear whether I have the labels right for $\lambda$ and $\mu$. If someone can verify this, then we should include it. Ahhoefel (talk) 14:31, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

lambda 4 1 t t^2 t^3 t^6
31 1 t t + t^2 t^3 + t^4 + t^5
22 1 t t^2 +t^4
211 1 t + t^2 + t^3
