The article states "Kolonya is composed of ethyl alcohol (between 60 and 80 percent)" in the Makeup and usage section, citing the first reference [Yalav-Heckeroth, Feride. "A Brief History Of Kolonya, Turkey's Fragrance". Culture Trip. Retrieved 2020-04-08.].
From my trips to Turkey and the time I lived there, I am assured that the alcohol content is not 60 to 80 percent, as the highest amount I have seen in the market was 80° Alcohol proof which gives something like 46% volume alcohol content. I believe this should be corrected to "Kolonya is composed of ethyl alcohol (between 60° and 80° percent Alcohol proof roughly equivalent 34% to 46% alcohol by volume)".
I did not made any changes or edits since I am not familiar with Turkish national standards on this case (if any) and I need approval from the original authors or someone from Turkey to proceed.
This is very important, specially now that we are in the middle of the COVID-19 situation, as many people are mistakenly using Kolonya as a hand hand sanitizer against SARS-CoV-2, although the maximum alcohol content of ~46% in them is way below the ~60% by volume which is required for being labelled as effective in de-activating the virus.
