Darby (2018)[edit]

@Temerarius: I want to open a discussion here concurring with the one you started at Talk:Asherah. It seems that the debated issue here relates to the reliability of Darby (2018). In her defense, I want to mention that Erin Darby (PhD, Duke University) is an associate professor of Religious Studies at the University of Tennessee and has authored many studies focusing on the topic of this pillar figurines, including her book Interpreting Judean Pillar Figurines: Gender and Empire in Judean Apotropaic Ritual (Mohr Siebeck, 2014). So, I think she has very well-established credentials to be cited in this article. Potatín5 (talk) 21:48, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh my god this Erin Darby wrote MORE papers on these things? The first one gave me a headache, a stomachache, and leprosy. I'll emend my removal with something brief for now. Temerarius (talk) 22:12, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
